How We Started
At FLIGHT RISK MC, In 2020, a small group of friends officially founded Flight Risk MC at a hangar-side gathering outside Houston. The name was chosen with purpose: in aviation, “flight risk” is a term used for someone who might not be cleared to fly — a rebel spirit who lives for the edge. That’s exactly who we are.
From the beginning, our club has welcomed both civilian and military members — pilots and ground crew, active duty and veterans, mechanics and weekend warriors. What unites us is a shared love of aviation culture and the open road. Our patches and colors draw inspiration from flight suits, cockpit gauges, jet streams, and classic aircraft nose art.

Our Core Identity
We were born from the cockpit and the hangar, then set loose on the open road. Founded in 2015 by pilots, mechanics, crew chiefs, veterans, and civilian aviators, Flight Risk MC bridges two worlds: the wild blue yonder and the blacktop horizon.
Our name is deliberate. In aviation, a “flight risk” is someone who lives on the edge — cleared for flight but never fully tamed. That same calculated rebellion defines us. We honor the 250-year American legacy of independence, courage, and defiance against limits. From the daring pilots of the Revolutionary era’s balloon corps to the test pilots and fighter aces of the modern age, we carry that unbroken spirit forward.
Visual & Symbolic Language
Our brand draws heavily from aviation aesthetics while staying unmistakably motorcycle culture:
- Color Palette: Deep navy, steel gray, burnt orange accents, high-visibility safety yellow, and vintage aircraft white — evoking flight suits, cockpit instrumentation, and Texas sunsets.
- Imagery: Classic aircraft nose art, jet streams, altitude gauges mixed with roaring motorcycles, open roads, and Texas landscapes.
- Typography: Bold, technical sans-serif fonts paired with vintage script for that rebellious, heritage feel.
- The Patch: Designed to feel like both a squadron insignia and a traditional MC rocker — earned through commitment, never bought.
